Conscious Discipline® is a comprehensive classroom management program and social-emotional intelligence program developed by Dr. Becky Bailey that is based on current brain research, child development information, and developmentally appropriate practices. Conscious Discipline® has been designed to allow adults to make changes in their lives first, so that they, in turn can help children to experience changes in their lives.​











Conscious Discipline® is having a profound impact on children and adults across our nation and the world. We all might agree that successful interactions among individuals include at least two critical components. First, we want to feel a sense of safety in our schools, homes, workplaces and communities. From this place of emotional and physical safety and acceptance, we are able to support and encourage one another. In this way each person can recognize their gifts and make daily choices and helpful contributions that support their own growth and contribute to the welfare of the larger community. The second desire of many of us is to have solid relationships with one another that are based on strong connections, which support our ability to see the best in one another. This allows us to come from a place of creative problem solving, applying solutions to interactions of conflict, as opposed to focusing on the frustration or misery of a situation.​



















Teaching Loving Discipline, a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), was formed in November, 2005 for the purpose of sharing the life changing skills and powers of Conscious Discipline®.

Kay Zastrow​ ​has studied the comprehensive program of Conscious Discipline® and has spent over 500 hours in learning experiences with Dr. Becky Bailey, the program creator. Since 2002, Kay has traveled throughout the United States to expand her knowledge about Conscious Discipline®. She has also presented workshops at NAEYC Conferences in Toronto, California, Atlanta, Washington DC, New York, Louisiana, Texas, Illinois and Florida.
